Wine Country Cape

I made this cape as the showpiece for my "Wrap it Up " Show. The velvet has been dyed and overdyed, then discharged with paste and a drawerpull I found at the dumps! The design is my version of a 1930's Cape. The gathered hood becomes the collar when it is snapped down.

Fall Nuno Vest

The Fall Nuno Vest is another nuno felted creation only this time I attached the nuno work to a sunshine yellow commercial felt and made it reversible. There are different sections of both sides. There is a lovely glass closure piece. I created a matching hairpiece as well. $850

Red Hat Lady Wrap

The Red Hat Lady Wrap is a numo felted creation that has been augmented with beading. There is design detailing on the reverse side as well. Glass and beads form the closure. $700

Gina Shawl

The Gina Shawl is a one of a kind item that is a lovely wrap. The shawl pin is handcarved horn. $500.

Purple Fantasy

Purple Fantasy is a reversible jacket with a velvet yoke that has been handpainted and discharge printed on one side and resist painted silk with gold touches on the other. The hand-knit base is knitted in a welted pattern for reversibility from wool, novelty yarn and ribbon. $900

Sea Nymph

Sea Nymph is my Spectacular Garment for this year. This piece was made from silk and handpainted voile with lots of beading along the seams. I shibori pleated and painted the silk sleeves and embellished the brassier with chips, beads and angelina. When available, it will sell for $2000.

Northern Lights Devore Cape

Northern Lights was created with a special technique called devore or "burnout". I began with white velvet, "burned out" the pile leaving the design you see and then painted the cape before construction.

Copper Trellis

Copper Trellis is a felted jacket that has had two lives. I originally felted the jacket and hat two years ago but decided last year that it needed a little more. So I used it as my base for some painted Tyvek designs and threw in some fused angelina for good measure. The last embellishment added was the appliqued trellis work. I like the "new" look. $700.

Artlantis

This shrug is named Artlantis after the show in which it premiered. I made it from wool, mohair, and painted voile with a bit of synthetic yarn thrown in. Note the handblown glass buttons.

Med-Eva

Med-Eva was created as a historical offshoot garment for a special show last year.  I chose the medieval period and was challenged to create a contemporary piece.  I think I succeeded, don't you?

Flapper

Flapper was the second challenge for that historical based show. I chose the Roaring 20's Lots of beads on this dress. It comes with a handpainted silk wrap as well that isn't shown.
